Director of Design
Jessica Cannon is the Director of Design and lead Interior Designer/Architect at FA Design Build. With over 9 years of experience in residential interior design/architecture, Jessica leads the design build team with her passion for design and contagious enthusiasm.
Prior to joining FA Design Build, Jessica developed her skills as a kitchen & bathroom designer at the Expo Design Center in Fairfax, VA. She was also trained by the National Kitchen and Bath Association during this time. Jessica has been a featured expert in kitchen and bathroom design in Kiplinger’s Magazine, a national publication.
With a strong background in kitchen and bathroom design, as well as space planning, cabinetry detailing, lighting design, and color theory; Jessica combines education in interior design/architecture with her hands on experience in residential design and project management in the interior construction field.
The design philosophy that Jessica embraces stems from the belief that if something is worth doing, it is worth doing well. In interior design projects, excellent communication between client and designer begins through attentive listening to the clients stated needs, wants, and desires. Jessica identifies the problems that need to be addressed in the project and begins to transform the functional solutions and aesthetic expression with the clients’ vision into a final unifying concept. The design solution stresses the preeminence of function, incorporate high quality workmanship, and deliver the superior aesthetic required in achieving client satisfaction in any given project. Jessica is committed to offering her clients the best design results within their investment range.
Jessica holds a Master’s of Interior Design/Architecture from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC and a Bachelors of Art in Psychology from Bethany College in Bethany, WV. She currently resides in Fairfax, VA.
